| The ST Offline Tournament (STOT) is an offline gaming tournament for games created for the Atari ST computer.
It is run in a dedicated section of the Atari Forum. Seasons and rounds The STOT is divided into seasons. Each season consists of a number of rounds. One or more games are played in each round. Players receive points based on their final ranking in each game. Round naming convention: The format for an identifier of a chosen game is: S{Season Number}R{Round Number}. For example, the game Chroma Grid, played in Season 7, Round 2, has the identifier: S07R02 Chroma Grid. Games Either the organisers announce the game(s) for a round, or a vote is held on the forum. If new Atari ST games are released that can be played in a competition, they take priority and will be played as soon as possible. This rule ensures that the authors of new games receive feedback from as many people as possible as soon as possible. Hardware Games can be played on real Atari ST or Atari STE hardware, new hardware such as a MiST, MiSTer or Suska, or on emulators such as Hatari or STeem. Players Players come from all over the world. To participate, you need an Atari-Forum account. Only registered users can post scores. Actual rules since season 5: A season takes a year and consists of 12 rounds. Each round takes a month, with one or more games being played in each round. At the end of the month, the player with the highest score wins. Each player who participates in a game receives a point. Player C gets 1 point for participating, Player B gets 2 points (1 point for participating and 1 point for beating one player) and Player C gets 4 points (1 point for participating, 2 points for beating two players and 1 point for winning). Former rules in seasons 1–4: A season consisted of 24 rounds. Each round took two weeks, with one game being played per round.
